"Urology instillation therapy"

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary

The urology nurse specialist who gave the treatment in Day Case 1 was superb. She was caring, thoughtful and professional. Her explanation of the therapy and known side effects and how to handle them was exemplary. The other staff on the unit were all helpful and friendly, they ensured an 89 year old always felt comfortable. The only reason dignity gets 4 starts is that it is impossible to maintain with just a curtain separating patients, the complete medical history, as taken by the anaesthetist from a lady with hearing problems, could be heard probably by many in the ward.

Dear reviewer, Thank you for reviewing your experience on Day Case 1, we have passed this onto the Urology service and hope that the specialist nurse who treated you recognises you from your comments!! We appreciate that it can be hard for things to remain completely private when on a shared ward and in an ideal situation, we would love to provide everyone with a private room! Hopefully the great team made up for this slight inconvenience :-) Wishing you all the best, Communications Team Leicester's Hospitals
