"Emergency Birth"

About: Frimley Park Hospital (Frimley)

We recently had our second child at Frimley and both of us are relieved that we chose to book there. From the moment that my wife noticed reduced fatal movements on Saturday the 8/2/2014 and attended maternity triage the care and professionalism was exemplary. The midwives were all calm and reassuring and excellent. The traces from the CTG were not good but due to their professional manner -everything was managed excellently and calmly. My wife was swiftly transferred to the labour ward whereby we met the midwives, senior midwives, anaesthetic and obstetric registrars who all explained to us the situation and options. Their manner and care was first class and resulted in a healthy baby girl and healthy mother following an emergency C-section. The after care in both the post natal ward and the special care baby unit was again fantastic and represents what is so good about the NHS. The stark comparison to our first child born in a teaching hospital in London was massive. Both mother and baby are doing well and it is credit to the maternity team at Frimley. They should be proud of themselves and keep up the highest standards. Well Done!
