"It is a very slow and frustrating process"

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as the patient),

I hadn’t troubled the NHS much until 2012. I needed a hip replacement then because it was causing me trouble and I was going to wait too long with NHS so I had it done privately.

Last March I had an operation to removed fluid filled cysts from one testicle. I thought this went really well (on NHS) and although I had to wait a few months for the operation I couldn’t fault the service.

This time I’m again starting down the NHS route for another hip replacement. It is a very slow and frustrating process at the moment.

Dear 'Wight490 '

Thank you for providing feedback to the TRAQS team. I am sorry that you appear to be disappointed with the overall service provided to you.

TRAQS has been developed to offer a choice of provider at the earliest possible date and you should normally wait no more than 18 weeks from referral by your GP to the beginning of your treatment. Unfortunately, TRAQS has no control over the waiting times at local hospitals. Due the anonymous nature of patient opinion, I am unable to access the full details of your referral. I can only assume that when you were contacted by TRAQS, that we offered you a choice of hospitals and appointment dates. However, if you would like to discuss your referral in further detail then please do not hesitate to contact us on 01952 580 441.

Thank you again for taking the time to share your comments and I wish you all the best with your treatment.
