On the three occasions I have had to attend this hospital, the first time when my husband passed away, the second when I was injured in a car accident and the third when my aunt was suffering during the last stages of cancer, the so-called 'care' was appalling. The staff were cold and heartless, and completely indifferent to the suffering of their patients. I was not informed of my husband's death until after I had waited for more than an hour in the A&E reception area, and that too in a way that was incredibly insensitive. They also said they had lost my husband's belongings when I asked for them. A man was left face-down in his own vomit for over half an hour, despite three members of staff and a security guard being present. My aunt was left writhing in agony in a wheelchair for two hours before being seen. No painkillers or even sympathy were offered to her. This place reminds me of a Victorian-era lunatic asylum rather than a place of healing, and I will definitely not recommend it to anyone. In fact, my advice would be to endure the pain for a little longer and find an alternative hospital.
