I visited the Eye Clinic with my elderly mother on 19/02/2014. The clinic is always very busy, & this day was certainly no exception as it was standing room only. My mother's appointment was for 15.00 hour's but she was not seen untill 15.45. This was for eye drops to be administered. There followed a further wait untill 16.20 when photographs were taken, & we left the clinic at 16.25. This means that what was in essence a 10 minute appointment for 15.00 was not completed untill 1 Hour & 25 minutes later, with most of this time spent in an overcrowded corridor, ( for such is the waiting area at the Eye Clinic.) Ironically there is a notice an the wall asking that the said corridor be kept clear in case of Emergency. I believe that as well as being an uncomfortable & indeed frustrating place, the Eye Clinic here is not a Safe Environment.
