"Care of my Gran"

About: Stonehouse Hospital / General Medicine

(as a relative),

My gran is 94 years and recently spent nearly 3 weeks in Stonehouse hospital where she received excellent care and treatment.

After falling at home her GP felt she required some respite care to get her mobile again. Staff were friendly, professional and supportive to my grans individual needs. Communication was excellent and the family felt reassured at all times. She particularly enjoyed having her hair done on a Wednesday.

The only down side was it is all single rooms and she likes to chat, but enjoyed going to the dinning room for her meals.

As a health care professional I understand the challenges in getting everything right every time, but thanks to the team in Stonehouse as they delivered on this.
