"Patients should be able to request doctor of their own gender"

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as the patient),

Referred by GP to local hospital at Telford and had a prompt appointment for 5 weeks later. Arrived early and was seen promptly.

I would add that you might request of patients if they would prefer to see a doctor or consultant of their own gender. I am not bothered about this, but I think some patients might be.
