"Delivery by C Section - Nov 2012"

About: Stafford Hospital

I gave birth to my daughter at Stafford hospital in November 2012 by emergency c section. The care I received during my long slow labour was second to none. I had two midwives looking after me due to a shift change half way through and both were amazing, keeping me calm, explaining clearly my options all the way through and being open and honest without being scary when things were not progressing. (I told one of the midwives I liked her lipstick whilst on gas and air!) I'm pregnant with my second baby now and can't think of anywhere else that I would feel more comfortable giving birth than at Stafford Hospital. I hope it is still open in time for my second baby and am saddened to hear that it may be closing. I would recommend this maternity ward and midwife led unit to any one.

Congratulations on your second pregnancy. It is great to hear that you received such wonderful care during your first labour despite the complications. I have shared your feedback with the midwifery team who I know will appreciate your lovely comments, particularly at this very uncertain time. I wish you all the best with this baby and hope its arrival is much easier than its sisters.

Kind Regards
