"Melton Mowbray - why the long delay?"

About: Leicester General Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics Melton Mowbray Hospital

(as the patient),

I am a patient of Loughborough Pinfold Gate, I ruptured my Anterior Cruciate Ligament in March of this year, and was referred onto Melton Mowbray Hospital for a consultation. From then I have been referred onto the Leicester General for another consultation and an operation. I went to the Melton hospital the in early September and I finally have an appointment at the General at the end of November. 5 weeks to me seems a very long time for the notes to be passed onto the General. They said they were going back and forth because the notes were not signed. This seems to me like NHS incompetence. 8 months to see a knee specialist for a consultation to fix an anterior cruciate ligament, is not right to me!
