Last week I had elective gynae surgery at Pembury. I would like to express my sincere thanks to all staff involved in my care. I met only cheerful, often amusing, and above all caring people, whatever their job and whatever the time of day or night. This began with admission, through theatre and anaesthetic, recovery, care in the ward, food, cleaning, etc etc. Surgical and medical care seemed very good and I am now recovering well. If anything could be improved it would have been the long wait from 7:30 am arrival to going to theatre at 3 (but my case was not urgent); the long cold corridor from the ward to the lifts; feeling a bit isolated in the single room (but this is a matter of personal preferences and I would on the whole prefer a single room). Might room doors be left open so patients could see out? Thank you for my care.
"great care"
