"In Patient Treatment"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Accident & emergency Forth Valley Royal Hospital / General medicine

(as the patient),

Was told by my GP that I required admission to hospital for treatment. Still took 3. 5hrs on arrival before I was on a ward as I was told I had to go through A&E for admission.

Admitted for I/V antibiotics having developed cellulitis.

Excellent nursing care.

Ward and facilities very good.

Food choice lmited and poor e. g. supposed hot food pretty cool / was informed that fruit choice limited to apples. I was only in for 3 days but this could cause recovery problems for patients in for a prolonged period.

Thanks for your posting, I hope that you have made a full recovery. Its great to get a balance of things that were good and what we can improve.

You are correct that nutrition is essential to recovery in hospital, I am going to shre your feedback with our catering services, these are provided by SERCO. I wil ask them to provide a further response.

many thanks Arlian
