My husband had a medical emergency recently and I spoke to all sorts of people to try and get some help. I can’t remember who advised me to speak to my doctor’s surgery and ask if I could get help from the community nurses.

After getting their phone number I left a message on their answerphone, as I had done for other services. The difference was that the community nurses actually called me back immediately, not 36 hours later!

A nurse came to see me the very same day, late in the afternoon, having gone out of her way to do so.

Another nurse came back the following day with equipment that would make it easier for me to deal with my husband’s condition. I don’t know how they managed to get the equipment so quickly but without it I would have been absolutely stuck.

The nurses went the extra mile to help and all done with a smile! I feel very confident should I need them again they will be there for me.

It is really pleasing to know that your received a prompt and good service from the nurses and I am sure they will be pleased to know that they made such a difference to you at what must have been a difficult time.
