"A complete lack of regard for me as a patient"

About: Queen Elizabeth I I Hospital (Welwyn Garden City)

I am under qe2/Lister hospital for fertility problems, I had a laparoscopy in October to find out the problem and they decided my best route is IVF. I then received a letter for an appointment with my consultant in December who I did not see, I saw one of his registrars who left us waiting 3 and a half hours after our due appointment time. Me and my husband were given blood test forms and a sperm clinic phone number to follow up on which we did in January. I decided to check up on the progress on 10th February to be told by the receptionist that they have no notes for seeing me since last July and that there is nothing in my notes to say there will be a follow up appointment . They also have not got our recent blood test and sperm results and so I'm confused as to where they have gone as well. This is also not the first time they have lost sperm results for us. I feel completely at a loss with this hospital now and I feel like they simply do not care about there patients.

We're very sorry to hear of the poor service you have been receiving from the Trust's gynaecology team. Whilst we will make sure that they get to read your feedback, we wonder if you would be willing to make contact us at generalenquiries.enh-tr@nhs.net so the important matters that you have raised can be investigated? Whilst this cannot undo what's happened already, at the very least you deserve an apology.
