"Access from railway stations"

About: Pontefract General Infirmary

Some of us have to travel a great distance to get to Pontefract Hospital and in certain instances the railway provides the best option. However, you give no advice on how to get to the hospital from the various stations. We cannot all walk and would need a taxi - are there taxi ranks at all stations or is there a board giving contact details for the local taxi firms. Some help is required as there is no way that we could risk just arriiving at the station and then hoping for the best.

There has previously been no demand from our patients in relation to rail services. Pontefract has two railway stations, Baghill and Monkhill. Baghill station is a few hundred yards form Pontefract Hospital.
