i recently went to A&E (Thursday 6th Feb 2014) with a suspected broken foot, the lady on reception did say as i checked in that it was very busy that night so i knew I might be in for a wait, but realistically it is accident and emergency and priorities have to considered. After a short wait i saw a nurse and then sent to x-ray. a plaster cast fitted and further x-ray was taken as there was something more serious than first thought on the 1st xray i was informed i needed to go to surgical assessment ward afterwards . Anyway i was admitted to ward 31b i spent 3 nights in hospital with a lisfranc injury. i have got to say the staff on ward 31b are fabulous. happy and cheerful, considerate and professional etc I cannot praise them enough, they have a very difficult job to do and they were all amazing. I would like to say a very sincere thank you to them.
"unexpected A & E visit"
