"my stay"

About: The Royal Liverpool University Hospital

i had a short 5 day stay in hospital recently and found the service pretty poor to tell you the truth after my discharge on a friday i was told i would recive a phone call on the saturday to return to the hospital for my discharge papers and my medication of Warfrin i recieved no phone call so i returned to the hospital on monday morning to pick up my discharge letter and medication of Warfrin taking into consideration i was discharged after a T.I.A so monday morning on y2 ward i asked for my discharge papers i was told i could not have them as no doctor had signed me off and was asked to sit in the family room whilst this problem was sorted out 20 min later a nurse comes in and says it will take approx 5 hrs for discharge papers an medication to arrive this was 10:25 am i was not prepared to wait 5 hrs so the nurse said as soon as my medication arrives she will book a taxi to deliver it to my home so i returned home later monday night 8:30 pm a recive a phone call saying that my medication had just arrived on ward and she will send my medication in a taxi right away when i ased about my discharge papers i could not have them as the computer system had crashed and could not be printed off but would be as soon as the system was up and running and would be posted out to me i peronaly find sending drugs via taxi to a patient rather unethical and keeping the patient waiting 3 days for his/her medication I find the service I was given to have endless floors and shortcomings in it and hope you can sort it out before the Royal is built
