My mother has just spent a week on area 1 critical care ward. The staff were wonderful to both my mother and visiting family. Then she was moved to area 4 where the staff are very moody and totally disrespectful to visitors. One nurse had a headache and switched the main lights off and switched the patients bed lights on full, more or less blinding patients that have had brain surgery.I think patients come before staff dont they? The staff on area 4 are very inconsiderate, sitting in a joining room chatting away avoiding duties, another male nurse didnt even fill a log sheet out and went off duty.Maybe somebody needs to keep an eye out for patients on area 4 as im very concerned of the way the ward is run.I was told to ask if i had a question about anything..When i asked why my mother was sat upright at 90°because she is supposed to lay back to relieve pressure on her brain, nearly had my head bitten off and told she was at 45° and( were not stupid we know what we're doing
"small minority of staff very disrepectful on area..."
