About: Blackpool Victoria Hospital

was not given enough information before the operation. After I woke up, I was left for four hours in complete agony with no pain relief. I had to call members of my family into the hospital to get the after care I needed. I was sent home the following day because my bed was needed? On discharge, I was not given any info on how I would be feeling (pain) or what to possibly expect, taking into account we are all different. Most of the staff were fine, but a certain shift had no empathy what so ever and spoiled what was up till then a reasonable hospital stay. Not looking forward to going back, but I will be taking members of my family so they can monitor my care.

I am very sorry you feel the Trust has let you down. I will pass a copy of your comments through to the Matron in Urology for investigation. If you would like to speak to someone in the Trust patient relations department, you can do so by contacting 01253 655589, they will be able to register you concerns and ensure that they are fully investigated. Best Wishes Andrea
