"Compassionate and attentive care whilst in for a Hip replacement"

About: Wycombe Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I had put off having my hip replacement done for many years as I was so nervous about it. When I got to the hospital, my nerves were still bad but the quality of the care and attention I received was first class and really made me feel very comfortable.

All of the nurses, doctors and surgeons were very compassionate and attentive and always ensured I had everything I needed.

I was also very pleased to be put in an female only ward. While I was recovering, I made friends with the woman next to me as we were going through a similar experience, it was nice to have someone to talk to.

The operation went very smoothly, and I am now nearly fully recovered after 4 months, walking confidently without a stick.
