About: St Helier Hospital

My husband and I found out at our 12 week scan that our daughter had Edwards Syndrome so at 13 weeks we had to have a termination. The staff including the sonogropher, the screening counsellor, the consultant, the Healthcare Assistant, and the counsellor were nothing short of amazing. They all treated us with the utmost compassion and kindness and held our hands through the most difficult and painful thing of our lives. They have turned a tragedy into a very positive experience and helped us to deal with our devastation and pain in the most humane and kind way. They are truly our unsung heroes.

We are so sorry for your loss. Our staff will be genuinely touched to know they helped you and treated you both compassionately through such a difficult time. We are very grateful that you took the time to give us feedback. Dr James Marsh, Joint Medical Director, Epsom & St Helier Hospitals
