I have visited the hospital a few times over the last few months (Diabetes & Endocrine. Path Lab & Tilt Table Test) and on every occasion I have always felt respected, cared for, supported and treated as an individual. Each member of staff we have come into contact with (Receptionist, H.C.A's, Doctors, Nurses, Specialist Dieticians, etc, etc) have always approached my care in a collaborative & caring manner. I had previously been under the care of my local hospital for the last 4 years and had not been making any positive progress. However, since attending Addenbrooke's we feel at last that someone is listening, treating me appropriately and I am beginning to now get some answers! We have about a 90 min drive each way to attend my appts at Addenbrooke's (or sometimes to see a specialist from Addenbrooke's at Saffron Walden Community Hospital) and it can seem a long day, sitting in traffic, pouring rain, parking, waiting rooms!! But each and every member of staff actually appear to enjoy their job & are happy to help and are interested with getting the most appropriate treatment/.care for me. Which then makes the long journey etc more bearable and makes the whole experience as positive as possible. Thank you to the caring staff at Addenbrooke's!
