I have just had a total knee replacement carried out at City Hospital, Nottingham. I want to thank everybody involved for their care and consideration. I must say that I was quite apprehensive about the operation when I went in, since my general health is not too good and I worried about the risk of infection. I spent longer in hospital than most people (13 days) but the team was not prepared to let me go until I could demonstrate that I could efficiently handle my crutches.
The care and consideration shown by the nursng team was exemplary and since this is my third hospital stay in four years, I think I am getting better at judging these things!
