"Glandular fever treatment at Northern General"

About: Northern General Hospital / Endocrinology

(as the patient),

I was a patient on Brearley 1 at the Northern General hospital for the treatment of glandular fever. I was provided with my own room which allowed me to gain some much needed rest and limited possible infection to other patients. I was not rushed quickly in and out of hospital without having recovered to some degree. My liver function was well monitored throughout my stay.

Information could have been shared amongst doctors and nurses treating me. There was definitely a lack of communication between staff. Communication between staff and patients was also poor. My medical file was also lost during my stay.

I was angry at one point when one doctor dismissed my symptoms and claimed I did not have swollen glands, despite the fact that other doctors stating that they could clearly see that my glands were swollen quite considerably.
