I recently underwent a Gall Bladder removal at the Royal Hospital, after surgery i was in ward 9y for a few days, i can only say that all the staff on the ward were absolutely fab, nothing was too much for them, the care immediately after surgery when i came around (and wasn't all together with it shall i say.........) was second to none, i was never at any time made to feel embarrassed, which was very important at the time as a young male student nurse attended to me and he ensured i was given all the dignity and respect i would have liked, if this is a taste of the newly qualified staff to the NHS then theirs is a career well suited to them. Well done. I know the Royal previously had some bad press for a different things, but my stay on 9Y was a painful but really positive one, well done to all on (Y. Julie Ellis
