Following the response to my review involving my wife having to sit in the main corridor in a freezing cold draught whilst waiting for her operation, I thought I'd have a look to see what improvements had been made to the situation whilst I was in the hospital for an outpatient clinic. Nothing has changed. There are still people huddled up in blankets to try and keep out the cold and protect their modesty whilst sitting on those ridiculously low seats. If the matron has intervened to sort the problem out, I am at a loss to see what has been done. If the matron hasn't done something about it, it's time to get someone doing the job that will make a change. If you don't know what to do, here's a list to start with - 1. provide a waiting area where every Tom, Dick and Harry coming into the building can't stare at you. 2. Get some seats that are easy for the less athletic to get in and out of. 3. Have some toilets close at hand. 4. Make sure there isn't a draught and that the temperature is warm enough so that you can take your coat off without shivering.5. Have enough room so that people aren't crowded together like cattle.
