"Nightmare getting through to pre admission"

About: Chase Farm Hospital

I have been trying to get through to pre admissions for surgery since Friday, all what I get is ringing and ringing, I eventually got through to them on 27th January 2014 after trying to get through for two weeks prior to that. The person who arranged the appointment for my husbands surgery told me that the numbers that were given to my husband and I were faulty for a long time yet they still give the numbers to patients to ring. I was informed by the person that we would expect a letter in the post confirming my husbands surgery date, yet unfortunately it has still not arrived. I am still trying to get through via Chase Farm Hospital switch board yet still had no luck. They really need to get their phones looked at as seriously even their switch board operators don't seem to know what is going on.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback about your experience and I am sorry to hear that you had problems getting through to the department. The Central Appointments & Administration teams at Barnet & Chase Farm are currently under- going a review and intensive training to improve quality of the service we provide. I noticed that your response is anonymous and therefore I cannot comment directly whether the appointment letter for your husband has been sent. Please contact the Trust bcfpals@nhs.net if you wish to get a more detailed response and support.
