"Avoid Wheal Agar Ward"

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske)

The ward is understaffed and chaotic. They show little compassion or understanding and there seemed to be a drive to release beds at all costs. Pressing the call bell in most cases went unanswered and finding a member of nursing staff or a doctor often proved impossible. After about 6pm there seemed no doctors in evidence till 8am the next morning. On asking for information no one seemed clued up. I think treatment at home would have been far more effective than this place. The food was totally disgusting. The management of the ward was non-existent. I would hope never to end up here.
