I had a black out on the way home from an evening out with family at Lewisham Station at approximately 10:20pm. A gentleman telephoned 999 and within minutes a paramedic arrived, stabilised me and called an ambulance. The paramedic was most kind, sympathetic and most professional. He remained with me and my family until the ambulance arrived. The ambulance team then did various tests including an ECG and again were most kind considerate and professional. They allowed my family to accompany me to Lewisham Accident and Emergency where again I received outstanding treatment from the nursing staff and Doctor. A blood test, ECG and various other tests were carried out and I wax release once the Doctor was happy that the matter could be referred to my GP. My wife and I have recently moved to England and we have observed the negative publicity which the NHS gets with sadness as our experience of the service we have received from the NHS has been nothing short of excellent. I would like to place on record my most sincere thanks for the kind, understanding and excellent treatment I received from your staff on Saturday night. Sincerely Chris Mathias
