"Gross inefficiency in 2 areas, I could list more....."

About: St Richard's Hospital

1. telephoned a medical secretary to ask about a procedure hat I been scheduled to have under sedation- without any prior discussion with any medical personnel and she told me "You wouldn't know how the NHS worked". Where was the patient involvement in that?? 2. I also attend (allegedly) the ophthalmology department. What a joke that is. Appointments are supposed to be 6 monthly-that is the assessed clinical need. However the appointments just get cancelled month after month after month. When I go blind I may be able to sue, however that would not give me my eyesight back. How can a hospital be so ignorant of the effects of its inefficiency on people's health, well being and the resultant distress caused. A phone call to PALS was a total waste of time as nothing changed.
