i just coldnt resist the temptaion to go ice skating with my children. it turned out to be a bruising experiance for my body but exilerating for my spirit. i slipped and fell, only God knows how many times. but one fall is momorable as it was very awkward and i hurt my knee very badly. i was unable to sleep or turn over in bed so first thing in the morning i went to my local hopital A&E.
I was very surprised and relieved that i was seen within few minutes and was back home withing an hours. having had the knee xrayed and consultations with the doctors.
previously i have had to wait for 5 hours just to be seen by a doctor and then told to go home and take paracetamol. so this experiance has been very positive and I hope it wasnt a one off time but a way forward for my local hospital. well done!!!
