The care I received during labour and for two days post natal was exemplary; the staff went out of their way to accommodate my wishes, to involve me in decisions and to care for my husband and baby when I needed surgery. I cannot praise them highly enough. The care and guidance on the postnatal ward was also superb and I left hospital confident in feeding and caring for my baby.

Good morning Thank you for your comments regarding the care and treatment afforded to you and your family during your admission to the Friarage Hospital, Northallerton, for the birth of your baby. It may interest you to know the trust runs a ‘Thank You Award’ scheme where NHS colleagues, patients and relatives can nominate staff in recognition of their work. These are presented throughout the year for acts above the call of duty or where staff have shown exceptional kindness towards patients and their relatives.
