"An excellent experience"

We visited Sunderland Royal Maternity service last week for the birth our of first child, Emilie June. Myself and my partner could not have been happier with the respect and care shown by the staff on the ward. The midwives made my partner feel at ease and when extra support was needed, the medical staff were extremely professional whilst showing genuine compassion which I have rarely saw in other hospitals. The staff at the ward made sure we were involved in all decisions made and ensured we knew exactly what was happening at all times. Being able to be in the same room throughout the whole delivery was an amazing experience and we could not thank the ward enough for the way they supported us during our time at the hospital. We has family visit from different parts of the country who also commented on the wards atmosphere and levels of care as being second to none. Thank you to all at Sunderland Royal Delivery Suite for their support. We could not have asked for a better experience, the hospital made sure this part of our lives was very special and memorable.
