"Attempting to access Urgent Care services by phone"

About: Chase Farm Hospital

Attempt to contact the urgent care services 30/1/2014 6.40pm resulted in a 30minute wait, so attempted to establish contact via Chase Farm Operator who attempted to connect me. After 4 messages telling me thaabout my call was known about, but not answered I gave up. I would have thought urgent care implies urgehisncy in response. In this technologicl age I would have thought a 'try again later' message would have been appropriate, or simply dial 999 if contact can't be established. And what's all that about costs of 0845 numbers hasn't been determined on the web page. The above aspects need to be addressed urgently I am sad to say as a result of the anxiety caused this evening.

I am sorry to hear that you had problems getting in touch with the Urgent Care Centre at Chase Farm Hospital. As an organisation we are committed from learning from specific issues. Hearing about what we can do better helps us pinpoint where exactly we need to improve. With regards to the difficulties contacting the Urgent Care Centre, I will pass this on to the manager. Once again, I apologise that you were having problems getting through to the department.
