Whilst I was an inpatient on Beech ward I was woken in the middle of the night to be told they needed to move me to another ward as my bed was needed. On arrival at the next ward I found I was not even in a proper bed space but in a trolley space behind a door where there was not even room for my personal belongings. I was very distressed and crying/sobbing about the move but the nurse just kind of shrugged it off and told me it had to be done. A lady in the bed opposite me was telling me how she had been moved so many times that her locker had got misplaced with all of her personal items in! The food was atrocious, almost inedible and half of the time they did not have what you had asked for and when asked why I was told "they did not send enough up"! When I was discharged I was told I would need to be seen in 14 days as an outpatient, 6 weeks later I had still not received an appointment so I phoned to chase it up, I was told "the nurse who did your discharge paperwork did not request an outpatient appointment to the relevant person, so I had been missed"! The hospital is a joke.
"Poor care and communication"
