"My belated thanks to staff"

About: South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust

(as a relative),

In the start of August I lost my nan. I forget the log number - apologies.

I have just realised that I never got round to sending this message, despite meaning to do so.

Please pass on my belated thanks to the professionalism of the ambulance crew who attended, and their understanding of the situation.

I am a police dispatcher and I feel that, at times, the relationships between police & ambulance have been a little bit.... misunderstood, shall we say, but from a personal point of view - GWAS/SWAS (whoever you are these days! ) did our family proud given the circumstances.

The same cannot be said for the on call DR but thats another story.

I hope all your crews act with the professionalism and integrity that the crews from the two attending units showed on that day

Dear Jellyatric

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I am sorry to hear of the sad loss of your nan, our sincere condolences to you and your family.

It is always rewarding to hear that our staff act with professionalism and integrity in these circumstances, and to show understanding to support those who require it.

I would like to pass your kind comments onto our staff, who I am sure will appreciate them. In order to do this I will need to know the date and time of the 999 call, and the address to which the ambulance attended. Could you please contact me, at your convenience, at laura.martin@swast.nhs.uk?

Thank you again for providing feedback of our service.

Kind regards
