"Colonoscopy to remove polyps"

Arrived at 7am and booked in. Shortly after escorted downstairs and provided with a gown, dressing gown and slippers. Was visited by the consultant who explained the procedure and I then signed a consent form. Shortly after that I was escorted to the theatre for the main performance. This took about an hour after which I was wheeled back to my clothes. After getting dressed I was brought an excellent cup of coffee and a biscuit shortly after this a nurse returned to remove the tube from my hand that had been used for a saline drip and I was discharged. From the time I left home to the time I returned less than four hours had passed. I have nothing but praise for the consultant, her staff and all those that attended me. Looking forward to the next time.
