"Discusting Car park at St.Georges Hospital."

About: St George's Hospital (Tooting) (London)

My appointment was at 14.40pm.today and I have to drive there for about an hour depending on the amount of traffic, and I arrived at 2pm.and attempted to find somewhere to park my car until 3pm.which was unsuccessful. In fact there were dozens of cars right out into Blackshaw Road waiting to get into the car park. I had got into the car park but it was completely full with cars waiting in all lanes for cars leaving which didn't seem to be many. Obviously I had no way of getting to my appointment so the only alternative was to go straight back home. I must say that every time I've been to St.Georges hospital for my appointments, trying to find a Parking space has usually been very difficult, so there must be a lot of patients that miss their appointments like I just have today.

We are very sorry to hear of your experience. The car park is under a great deal of pressure with patients, relatives and friends visiting the hospital. Your comments will be sent to the site managers who are responsible for car parking. If you would like to talk to the service about your experience and if you have not done so already, then please contact the PAL Service at pals@stgeorges.nhs.uk or on 020 8725 2453. The PAL service would also be able to help you if you have not received another appointment to replace the one you missed.
