"Shambolic and disorganised."

My daughter was admitted for an operation via A&E the communication and information she received was poor. Staff were consistently unhelpful and dismissive. She was sent home twice before the procedure took place. The care she received was less than satisfactory receiving no assessment for two days post operation. She remained in hospital for a day and a half longer than necessary due to the shambolic nature regarding discharging of patients. Staff were consistently unhelpful and non responsive to her requests for information on her care and she was made to feel a nuisance if she asked for anything. It appeared that one of the major contributors to the problem was the amalgamation with Trafford General and she.was unlucky to be admitted when that team were on call. Clearly their commitment to patient care, assessment, continuity, efficiency of service and communication is shamefully lacking and certainly did not make her experience a good one. She felt trapped and vulnerable and staff attitude made the situation even worse. I have made a complaint to the Chief Executive and PALS team but I am yet to receive an acknowledgement from either of them. No surprise given the lack of support, communication and organisation we have already experienced.
