"Hospital feedback"

About: Leicester General Hospital

I had a wonderful nurse and consultant - both made me feel really comfortable and at ease during a painful and uncomfortable procedure. However, I was left in tears after the way I was spoken to when ringing regarding my results. The woman on the phone was rude and aggressive as soon as she picked up the phone to me, I understand that the department is very busy and everybody works incredibly hard, but I was horrifed by the way I was spoken to and very upset - I find it unreasonable that a patient should be made to cry through sheer rudeness from hospital staff - and I still havent received an answer to my query.

Dear Reviewer, Thank you for sharing your views about your recent experience at Leicester General Hospital. We're delighted to hear that the nurse and consultant who treated you showed the high level of care, compassion and professionalism we are proud of as a Trust. We are however, incredibly disappointed with the way you were treated on the phone when enquiring about your results. This is competely unacceptable and we would kindly ask that you contact Matron for Gynaecology, Rachelle Bowden on Rachelle.Bowden@uhl-tr.nhs.uk so she can investigate this further for you. It would be useful if you can send more details such as time and date of your call, details of the person you spoke to etc. Best wishes, Communications Team Leicester's Hospitals
