"Hip replacement... 5 days and counting... TERRIBLE..."

Conflicting post operative care information between nurses, inaccurate reporting of medications prescribed and administered (possibly duplicated), bandages left unchecked 3 days after surgery, elevated temperature after surgery cause undetermined, 24 hr post operative X Ray completely forgotten about and still not carried out - day 5, nurses complaining of being under staffed, requests for bed pan delayed by over 30 minutes due to insufficient staffing, substandard meals requiring family members to take in food (reported by other patients in the vicinity) and an overall feeling of a lack of competence instilling a very real sense of doubt in the professionals who's care you should be able to rely on. It is our intention to lodge a formal complaint as soon as a senior hospital representative becomes available.
