I have this week been fortunate to have a hip replacement in the Derwent unit. i was a bit apprehensive as its been a few years since I have been into hospital, and with the national health having problems, and all you ever hear are the bad points of a hospital, to say the least I was feeling a bit nervous.upon entering the unit I found it very friendly, staff seemed to work well together, very clean, and any questions you needed to ask soon put your mind at rest. From the surgeons the anaesthetists the nurses, everything was in a professional manner i would have no hesitation in recommending this unit... well done Derwent
