"Gynaecology report to GP complete fabrication!!"

About: Lister Hospital

I have just recieved a copy of the letter sent to my GP following my 2nd appointment with the Gynaecology department at the Lister. I had to re-read the letter twice as I couldnt quite believe what was written to my GP! What the letter implys and what actually happened during my last visit are poles appart. The letter mentions: Nothing about the pain that I am still experiencing Nothing about the fact that no examination was carried out. Nothing about the fact that I had stopped taking the contraceptive pill Nothing about being offered an anesthetic for my next examination Nothing about why I was actually referred to them in the first place! My last appointment was Dec 19th 2013 for which I was prescribed 20mg of Diazepam from my GP to take before the appointment to help me relax during the procedure (I find examinations very distressing) I took the 20mg of Diazepam at home as instructed and then was taken to the hospital by my partner. After we waited almost an hour in the waiting room, we then walked into see the consultant for a 3 minute discussion, at which point I was told she would not need to examine me, because I had stopped taking the contraceptive pill 2 months prior. So I had taken 20mg of Diazepam for a 3 minute conversation! The letter doesnt mention any of this!! She asked me how I was feeling and if the medication id been prescribed from Dermatology had been helping. My answer was NO and that I was still experiencing pain. The letter from the consultant to my GP opens with the sentence "the patient is feeling much better following the advice from the Dermatology team" How did the consultant come to the conclusion that I was feeling much better when my answer was NO? I was first refered to the Gynaecology department in July 2013 following unexplained bleeding 7 months on and the team have still not performed an examination and the actual reason for my referal has still not been addressed. (Though other minor ailments are being treated by Dermatology) Quiet frankly the appointment was a complete waste of time. What was discussed could have been said over the phone alot sooner. Instead I had to wait months to attend this 2nd appointment which turnned out to be a complete joke, not to mention the fact that I took 20mg of Diazepam for no reason! I feel completly unsupported by the Gyneacology team and dismayed at the conent of the letter to my GP.
