"Emergency Assessment Unit"

About: Northampton General Hospital (Acute)

I recently required a 3/4 day stay in NGH on the Emergency Assessment Unit. although I was happy with the care I received, I do have a few concerns that I would like to bring to your attention. I was prescribed Clarithromycin and it wasn't until the last day that I was told not to take my statin medication as it could reduce the efficiency of the anti biotic. On the second day of my stay, I asked to be given some laxative as I was having trouble opening my bowls, I also asked on the third day but the laxative were not prescribed for me. I would also like to comment on the extreme kindness and dedication shown by the nurses and all the medical staff also the cleaners and hostesses were incredably helpful. I felt like I was watching an amazing team working together.
