"Lefted hours without treatment"

About: Luton & Dunstable Hospital

I arrived at a&e after go referred me due to renal problem. I am being treated by a specialist at a hospital miles away and wasn't well enough to travel far. I had a bad experience at this hospital in August 2013, and I hoped the care had improved. Unfortunately the care at well nothing no treatment and lefted feeling very poorly and unable to pass urine. The Doctor was pleasant in the A&e however the care went down hill quickly. I was sent to another ward and was told I would see a medical doctor. They said it would be hours. They had a huge list of patients to see. Staff seemed overworked and understaffed. Some staff were not aware that I'm a diabetic and did not take my blood sugars or offer food. I was in pain but was not offered pain relief. I was not offered any treatment to help me pass urine. A family member expressed her concerned about my care and the long wait to see the Doctor. They weren't helpful. I had to self discharge and my family have taken me to my specialist miles away at short notice. I didn't have a choice if I waited all those hours for a doctor I would of likely got worse. I have never seen anything like it in all my life. I don't feel safe at this hospital they just leave you for hours.
