1) Out patients telephonists give patients wrong information because they do not know and are too untrained to ask others. e.g. there is no email for a doctor's secretary when asked for by an urgently referred patient-Wrong. 2) Secretary denied receiving 3 phone messages with details of urgent tests taken and request for results. Then remembered- then said she didn't know I had a barium and scan despite having my details. Then ignored doctors request to reply to them re same results and blamed my doctors for not telling her I had the tests! 4 emails sent to outpatients department describing meeting with their manager and same request for results and appointment. No reply to any of them. After failing to contact anybody or receive a reply from PALS also- a very efficient and understanding caring manager in an entirely different department made me an appointment in a few days time-just like that!!!! Shame on all of those dealing with very sick patients who simply need results sent to their doctor and a follow up appointment. Bad..Bad..bad
