My daughter had an outpatient appointment where they requested an X-ray. When we booked in at the radiography reception a member of staff flagged up the fact that my daughter was back there at the weekend for an MR scan. They had a cancellation that afternoon and suggested they might be able to do the MR scan straight after the X-ray.
It didn't quite to to plan as we were required to to straight back to clinic. However, with a shift around in staff they accommodated us later and we got all the tests done on one day.
Not only did it save us time and money not having to travel the extra journey but as a family we were able to spend much needed quality time together at the weekend, my daughter was able to attend her music rehearsal which she loves and didn't need to visit the dreaded hospital twice! !
Just a bit of common sense and a patient centred approach was delivered. A small change made a big difference to us as a family. Thank you.
