"Disgusted"

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary

My autistic son was bought in with suspected ear infection, he needs to be treated in certain way and the A and E doctor came close to refusing to treat my son as he was wriggling to much, and refused to accept that autism was the reason. My son is two and a half. If he gets worse I will be getting legal advice!!

Dear reviewer, I am both concerned and sorry to hear of your son's difficulties when visiting the Emergency Department. I would like to get this looked into and would need your son's attendance details to do so. The best way of sending these details securely would be to use the online contact form on the Patient Information and Liaison Service website: http://www.leicestershospitals.nhs.uk/patients/patient-welfare/patient-information-and-liaison-service/ Or by email: pils@uhl-tr.nhs.uk or free phone: 08081 788337. If you mark it for my attention, I will get this looked into either as a formal complaint, or informally and feedback to you, whichever you prefer. I hope to hear from you soon but also understand if you do not want to take this further. Sincerely Pro Mukherjee Consultant in Emergency Medicine
