"Upon a recent visit to phlebotomy at Kings College..."

About: Guy's Hospital

Upon a recent visit to phlebotomy at Kings College Hospital I decided to visit the service here at St Thomas' expecting a better service. I yet again come across another failing in the phlebotomy service, managed by this same private company (GSTS Pathology) in opinion a more severe failing in the support of patients and surely staff and the service. It came to my attention when speaking to this manger and some of the staff (unfortunately I do not have the managers name) that you employee incompetent managers. I ask how can a company employ a team manager who knows nothing about phlebotomy, the service and how to bleed patient themselves.  It would appear I know more about this field than they do. Surely this is completely inappropriate, given their position, how are they suppose to advise and support patients ? This also makes wonder how do they manage and support staff and the service when they quite clearly have no knowledge of phlebotomy, and cannot do the job they expect their subordinates to undertake!
