"Foot operation at QMC"

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I went in to the Queen's Medical Centre to have an operation on both of my feet. I had special cream put on my hand so that a needle could be put in it. I went down to theatre and nurse Emma played table football whilst we waited for the anaesthetist to arrive. I then got on a bed and they gave me a pink mask to wear (to match my pyjamas). After I gave mummy a kiss, I then began breathing the air in. The next thing I remember, I woke up, had bandages on my feet, and then went back on to the ward to have breakfast (coco pops, toast and juice). After this, I went home with mummy and daddy. Nurse Emma gave me a certificate for being brave.
