I self presented, called for help and got it instantly. De-fib obviously efficient otherwise I wouldn't be commenting. Doctor called my son and partner before I got to theatre and another briefed me thoroughly on the way. I was awake in the theatre and was talked through the procedure, also being engaged in reassuring conversation. My aftercare in recovery and on CCU was faultless and preserved my dignity as best as circumstances permitted. The staff were courteous and reassuring to both me and my family and visitors. I would not recommend having a heart attack but if you are unfortunate enough to suffer one you will not get better treatment than I did
